'BJP promotes saffron terror, honours hate-mongers'
Bengaluru: “The Hindu supremacist BJP government wants to promote saffron terror across India. The BJP government wants to send out a message that people who are involved in hate-mongering, terrorism and lynching will be honoured by the government,” said senior journalist Niranjan Takle, who is also the author of ‘Who Killed Judge Loya’.
Niranjan also took a dig at the government for celebrating the bail of the 11 rape-accused men in the Bilkis Bano case.
“They celebrate people who have exploited the minority communities because they want to send out a message. It is done in a planned manner by their propaganda machine. There are people like Sadhvi Pragya who have been involved with 2008 Malegaon bombings, but now she is a member of parliament. This clearly shows the way the BJP functions,” he added.
Niranjan was speaking at a Congressional Briefing, ‘Hindu Supremacist RSS Involved In Bombings In India’, organised by Indian American Muslim Council on Wednesday
'I made bombs for RSS'
The briefing was also joined by Yashwant Sinde. He was an RSS worker for nearly 25 years, and he had worked closely with the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal.
He has recently filed an affidavit before a special CBI court claiming that several senior right-wing leaders were directly involved in making bombs to influence the 2004 elections.
Sinde has also claimed that a senior VHP worker had informed him about a terror training camp that was underway to “carry out blasts across the country”.
Sinde, in the briefing, explained how he got in touch with RSS workers and his journey through the organisation. Sinde claimed that the current coordinator of VHP was the mastermind behind the plan.
“When I was in Mumbai in 2003, two RSS people came to me and said that we had to make bombs. I asked them, since federal elections are approaching in 2004, are they doing it to influence the elections? They didn’t answer my questions. So, I joined them to find out more. Later, I participated in a bomb-making workshop in Pune at a resort. The entire plan of bombings in India was made up by Milind Parande, who is now the national coordinator of the VHP,” he revealed.
