Nine die just 200 metres away from house in Arasikere

Tragedy struck a family on a religious trip with nine of them including four children dying on the spot when the Tempo Traveller in which they were travelling, collided head-on with a milk tanker and a KSRTC bus near Hallikere village in Banavara Hobli of Arasikere taluk in Hassan District in the early hours of Sunday.

They were returning home after visiting Dharmasthala and Hasanambha Temple on Saturday. According to information reaching here, the fourlaning of the road is on and only one-way traffic was allowed.

But, the authorities failed to put up a warning board at the spot. The tempo was totally mangled. The accident happened just 200 metres away from the victims' house
