
9 held for involvement in ‘andar-bahar’ gambling
Bengaluru: City Crime Branch (CCB) personnel nabbed 9 persons in connection with an illegal gambling ring and seized over Rs 1.61 lakh in cash from them. The incident had reportedly taken place within the Banashankari police station limits.
The police did not reveal the identities of the accused but said that the accused were involved in ‘andar bahar’ games at a gambling den here.
The cops had raided the place based on a tip-off regarding the illegal activity. Andhar Bahar is a game of chance played with a standard deck of cards.
The objective is to predict which of the two boxes ‘andar’ or ‘bahar’ wins. A case has been registered at the Banashankari police station regarding the incident.
