Bengaluru: Two days after losing his daughter in a tragic accident near Yelahanka, the father of the deceased has registered a complaint against officials of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) alleging negligence in not completing the work on the metal crash barrier near the bypass signal here.
Sana Sahiba, 18, died on the spot while her 21-year old friend, Zeeshan, lost his hand in the accident on Tuesday. It was alleged that Zeeshan was overspeeding on his bike with Sana riding pillion after which he reportedly lost balance and crashed into the median.
The traffic police said that the impact was so powerful that both of them were thrown off their bike and Sana's helmet unstrapped due to which she suffered severe head injuries and died on the spot.
It was also revealed that the NHAI had not completed work on the metal beam crash barrier where the accident took place. Sana's father, Mohammed Iqbal has accused Zeeshan of rash driving which caused the death of his daughter.
In addition, he has accused NHAI officials involved in the construction of the median for negligence in completing their work.
