DCP Nisha James transferred

Bengaluru: Deputy Commissioner of Police Nisha James has been transferred from the Administration Division, following a letter accusing her of harassing police constables going viral on social media.

Additional Director General of Police (Administration) Dr MA Saleem issued an order on Wednesday, transferring James “immediately” to the Internal Security Division as Superintendent of Police.

An IPS officer of the 2012 batch, James was posted to the Administration Division of Bengaluru City as DCP three years ago. She will now be replaced by BM Laxmi Prasad, Dr Saleem said in his order
