Bengaluru: A Bihar-based labourer was found murdered under suspicious circumstances at an under-construction building where he was said to be working near Yelachenahalli in the city. The deceased was identified as Mukhesh, 35, who had taken up work as a tile setter at a building here.
Preliminary police investigation revealed that Mukhesh and his colleague Nikhil used to sleep inside the building during the night. However, on Saturday morning, Mukhesh was found dead with a severe head injury while Nikhil went missing.
Speaking to News Trail, the Kumarswamy Layout police station who inspected the spot said that the injury on Mukhesh’s head was due to a heavy blow from a wooden log. It is suspected that Nikhil might have struck Mukhesh after an altercation. A case has been registered regarding the incident, and efforts are on to nab Nikhil, police said.
