Mysuru: The Congress workers of KrishnaRaja Assembly constituency celebrated Diwali by arranging the diyas around a big pothole in the City on Monday. The recent rains have damaged all the roads in Mysuru and people are forced to drive their vehicles on these potholed roads.

The district administration asphalted only the roads in and around the Mysore Palace during Dasara festival but left other roads to the mercy of people. To shame the state government, the Congress workers arranged the diyas around a big crater near Gaadi Chowk Madhwachar Road to mock the state government and Mysuru City Corporation.

Then they raised slogans against the government for its failure to asphalt the city roads. They questioned the necessity for spending Rs 35 crore on ten-Day dasara festival and opined that the same amount could have been spent on the improvement of roads.
