Milk van driver robbed

Bengaluru: A milk van driver was robbed of Rs 25,000 in cash at knife point near Pillanna Garden in the city on Friday. A complaint has been filed with the KG Halli police regarding the incident.

The victim, Ramesh, stated that he used to supply milk packets to various milk booths in the city limits on a daily basis. The incident took place around 5:30 am on Friday when he had parked his van near a booth, waiting for it to open.

He claimed that two unidentified assailants rode towards him on a bike and pulled out a knife, demanding that he hand over the cash. The men fled the scene immediately after robbing the cash, he said. The police have taken up a case and a probe is on to identify the accused.
