Harassed by pervert hubby, woman ends life

Upset over her husband’s weird wish telling her to sleep with another man, a 37-year-old woman has committed suicide by consuming poison at her house on the Bengaluru-Kanakapura Road.
The deceased is Nandini, a resident of Kanakapura. Her husband identified as Ravi, a car driver by profession, has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody. The complaint was filed by Ravi’s sister Shilpa (33), a resident of Kasaba.
Ravi was allegedly having an affair with a married woman. In fact, he was forcing his wife to stand guard outside the house while he was spending time with his paramour. Ravi was also forcing Nandini to sleep with his paramour’s husband. Upset over her husband’s sadistic behaviour, she  consumed poison.
The couple got married 10 years ago and have two children. Theirs was a love marriage and for the first three years their relationship was cordial. Later Ravi became an alcoholic and started abusing Nandini.
He then started having an illicit relationship with his neighbour. Nandini and Ravi used to have frequent fights over the issue. Nandini later informed Ravi’s sister about his affair, but her efforts to persuade Ravi to end the affair were unsuccessful.
“On November 1, the victim had reportedly consumed poison and was rushed to a private hospital in Kumaraswamy Layout. The next day she was discharged and returned home. However on November 4, she complained of severe stomach pain due to the effect of poison which she had consumed earlier. She was again shifted to the same hospital. 

The woman succumbed on Friday morning at around 7.30 am,” said an officer on part of investigations. While the victim was in hospital, Shilpa had visited her.

In her complaint, Shilpa had stated, “The victim had reportedly told the complainant that Ravi was forcing her to sleep with his paramour’s husband. He was also mentally harassing to stand guard outside the house when he was inside the house with the paramour. Ravi is also accused of forcing the victim to die. Unable to bear all these mental harassment, she claims to have consumed poison.” 
The police are investigating the paramour’s possible role in the death.
