Bengaluru: Not only wives, even husbands can be victims of alleged mental and physical harassment by their spouses. A resident of the city is out to prove this and has sought help from the PMO as well as the Bengaluru Police Commissioner over twitter alleging domestic violence.

"Will anyone help me? Or did anyone help me when this happened? No, Because I am a man! My wife attacked me with a knife, Is this the naari shakti you boast about? Can I file a domestic violence case against her for this? No!" read a post from the user, Yadunandan Acharya.

The user tagged the PMO along with the Bengaluru Commissioner of Police with a picture of his hand bearing cut injuries. However it was found that Acharya had shared similar posts earlier too alleging torture by his wife.

"Everyone is so happy for equal pay for women! No doubt I'm happy too! But What about gender biased laws in India? Would that ever change? Will the men continue to struggle and continue to die? Why not equality in laws too?" read another post from him.

A few weeks ago Acharya had accused his wife of filing false cases against him and his parents, who suffer from health issues. He had alleged that his parents were made to sit in a police station for several hours without hearing him out.
