2 nabbed for supplying arms to rowdy sheeters

Bengaluru: Two persons were arrested by the CCB personnel for allegedly supplying arms to rowdy sheeters in the city. Following their arrest, the police seized a country-made pistol and four live bullet cartridges from their posession.
The accused were identified as Mohammed Arafat and Sadath Maaz, residents of Hennur in the city. The police claim to have detected a case filed against the accused Arafat at Hennur police station. He was nabbed by the CCB officials while waiting for a prospective customer near RT Nagar along with the co-accused Maaz.
The police further explained that the accused persons had purchased the pistol from Mumbai and had planned to sell it in the city for a much higher price. A case has been registered against the accused at RT Nagar police station and they have been booked under the Arms Act, police said.
