Woman ended life over blackmail by paramour: Police

Bengaluru: A 35-year-old physiotherapist allegedly killed herself after the person she loved began blackmailing her with private videos in the city. The deceased has been identified as Chamundeshwari, a native of AP, who worked at a wellness centre in Koramanagala here.

Police said the woman hung herself at a house in Ejipura on Nov 4. The woman was married, with four children. However, during investigation it was also revealed that she had spent some intimate moments with a long-time friend, Mallikarjuna, who also hailed from AP.

Mallikarjuna allegedly started blackmailing the woman with video recordings of their private moments. Depressed over his threats, the woman recorded a video call purportedly made to Mallikarjuna and sent the clip to her husband, Ramesh before committing suicide
