Sapling plantation drive by NCC cadets

The NCC cadets hailing from Mysuru and Bengaluru came together to plant 2,500 saplings across various schools, colleges and public parks around Mandya, Hassan, Chikkaballapur and Chikamagaluru districts on Wednesday. Close to 2,500 cadets participated in the event. The event was done to mark the 75th year of the National Cadet Corps.

A similar plantation drive took place on November 21 at the SJBHS school’s war memorial site. Cadets belonging to various educational institutions in Bengaluru accompanied by Lt Gen C Bansi Ponnappa, alongside the alumni of St Joseph’s Boys High School planted saplings.
