Bengaluru:
The Puttenahalli police have cracked the mystery behind the death of a 67-year-old businessman whose body was found dumped in JP Nagar here. As reported earlier by News Trail, the police had recovered the dead body of a transport firm owner, Balasubramanian, wrapped in a plastic bag from the roadside on November 17.
As the body had no injury marks, the police had initially suspected the cause of his death to be suffocation. It was said that Balasubramanian had left his house on November 16 to drop his grandson at the badminton coaching centre. Before leaving he had reportedly informed his daughter-in-law that he would be late as he had some personal work.
Later, when he did not turn up, Balasubramanian’s son had reportedly filed a missing complaint at the jurisdictional police station. However, the next day, he was found dead. An intense probe into the case revealed that the deceased had been in an illicit relationship with the housemaid. After dropping his son to the coaching centre, Balasubramanian had visited the maid’s house and while having sex with her, he collapsed and died.
Fearing that she would be caught on muder charges, the maid, with the help of her brother, wrapped Balasubramanian’s body in a plastic bag and dumped it on the roadside. The police said that Balasubramanian had developed chest pain and a heart attack during the intercourse, which led to his death. The deceased had undergone angioplasty surgery last year, police said. Meanwhile, the woman and her brother have been taken into custody and are being interrogated by the police. Further investigation is underway
