Milk products’ prices up again

Bengaluru: Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has once again raised the price of several milk products, eliciting complaints from consumers. In the past, they have argued that upping the prices of these goods would directly benefit the dairy farmers.
Earlier the price of ghee per kilogram was Rs 510. Now it is Rs 610. The famous sweet Mysore Pak used to cost Rs 135 per 20 kilogram. The same amount will now go for Rs 160. Milk peda would cost one Rs 120 per quarter kilogram in the past. Now, the same will go for Rs 140.
Dharwad peda, which is synonymous with city used to cost Rs 100 per 250 grams. The same will cost Rs 125 now. Half a kilogram of butter used to cost Rs 250. The price has been upped by Rs 5. The prices of paneer, flavoured milk and ice cream have also been increased by Rs 5. each.
