DCP Baba urges public to make use of QR codes at police stations

Bengaluru: Following several complaints about patrolling cops demanding bribes from the residents, the South-East Division police in the city has introduced a QR Code at the police station where the residents can complain or provide feedback about their experience with the police officers.

Speaking to News Trail, an officer from the Koramangala police station said that all 14 police stations of the South-East Division have now got boards bearing QR Code scanners installed, including the ACP’s office. People have to scan these quotes, which will take them to a site with multiple questions.

A complainant can scan the code and then register their responses. The officer also said that a separate team will be reviewing the feedback and complaints received from the public, which will be forwarded to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, CK Baba.

DCP CK Baba said that the online feedback will be very helpful to both the complainants and the cops. “I would request the concerned parties to share their feedback honestly and without fear. If we get the right feedback, we will be able to take action. We will review the feedback on a daily basis every evening and try to resolve the issues if there are any,” he said.
