Karnataka to have 14 new airports

Bengaluru: One of the oldest and most reputed industry bodies, the Federation of Industries of India has opened its first south regional offices in the city.

Karnataka minister for Large & Medium Industries Murugesh Nirani, said while inaugurating the offices, “FII is India’s biggest body representing industries. I am very happy and proud that their branch in Bengaluru is the first in south India. Karnataka is spearheading the growth of industries. We will provide all necessary facilities to further grow the industrial sector and make it the creator of the largest number of employees. Industry bodies like FII play a vital role in facilitating the relationship between the government, industries and the public.”

Shailendra Beldale, the director of the Karnataka State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation, announced that Karnataka will be adding 14 new airports in the state to promote tourism at the district level. The idea is to have an airport in every district of the state in record time.
