Stay connected to your local mosque with Musalli app

Bengaluru: Musalli, an app developed by SB-embedded systems and a group of Muslims from here, makes prayer easy for Muslims all across India and helps them stay connected with their local mosque.

This mobile app can be downloaded from Playstore for free and is run under the careful supervision of Mohammed Arshad Hussain. It includes features like Prayer Timings with audio notifications, Live Bayan (lectures) that are given every Friday, details about events at the local mosques and other such information.

“A lot of Muslims face issues with regards to timing when it comes to prayer because different mosques have different timings. The app makes it easy for them to reach the masjid on time and actively take part in communityrelated activities,” said Hussain.

They have around 3,000 active users and have initiated a subscription service as well to allow access to Masjid Live, a feature that gives the users live updates from their mosque and also includes information like contact details of the staff, nikah (marriage) facilities, ambulance for funeral services and even daily news updates.

Mosques from Gujarat, Bengaluru and Kashmir have registered on the app already and it is turning out to be immensely helpful for Muslims from different parts of the country, according to reviews they have been receiving.

“Women and children are usually unable to physically make it to these Masjids since not all of them have the right arrangements made for women and the live updates provided by us will help them stay connected and be aware of what is happening at the mosque at all times” said Hussain.

Lastly, Ramadan is a very important month for Muslims and there are specific timings during which they initiate and break their fast. They also perform mandatory night time prayers called ‘Taraweeh’ during this month.

The app has implemented features in this regard as well where people are notified about events occurring during this month in their local mosque. They also offer different products that can be purchased by these users like a Mini PC (setup box) and a Masjid wall clock that will help receive key information more efficiently
