Three bikers die in separate accidents

Bengaluru: Three persons died in separate road accidents that took place within a span of a few hours in the city. Around 2 am on Monday, an incident was reported in the High Grounds Traffic Police Station limits in which a 28-year-old biker lost his life while the pillion rider suffered injuries in an accident.
The deceased was identified by the police as Rajesh Acharya, a resident of Subedar Palya in Yesvantpur. It is revealed that he was employed at Manipal Hospital as an AC technician. The incident took place when Acharya, along with his friend riding pillion, was going towards Windsor Manor from the High Grounds Junction.
Police said Acharya was speeding due to which he lost balance near Seven Ministers’ Quarters on Sankey Road. As the two fell on the road, they got grievously injured and passersby rushed them to a nearby hospital where doctors declared Acharya ‘brought dead.’ Acharya’s friend is said to be responding to treatment.
In a separate incident, a biker died after he crashed into a parked mini lorry near Kogilu Cross Road. Tarun, 22, a resident of Srinivaspura, was riding around 8 pm on Sunday when he crashed into the parked vehicle, a Hennur traffic police official said, adding that the biker died on the spot due to the impact.
In yet another accident that took place in the Hennur Traffic Police Station limits, around 11 pm on Sunday a 50-year old cashier, riding towards Hajj Bhavan, died after his bike crashed into an “illegally” parked tractor. Police identified the deceased as Ranganath, a resident of Amruthahalli. He was working as a cashier in a popular wine store in the area.
According to police, after discharging his duties, Ranganath was returning home when the incident occurred. The tractor was illegally parked by the driver on at a poorly-lit spot, without switching on the parking lights. Both the cases have been taken up by the Hennur traffic police and investigation is underway
