Passenger finds lost baggage, thanks to pantry staff
A pantry car staff on board 12027 Chennai-Bangalore Express came across an abandoned bag and reported the matter to the chief ticket inspector

Bengaluru: In a rare development that may give hope to many passengers travelling by Indian Railways, the belongings of a passenger reported missing was traced and handed over to the rightful owner here on Tuesday.
A member of the pantry car staff on board 12027 Chennai- Bangalore Express came across an abandoned bag which also had other belongings like a Laptop, clothes, Rs 3,000 cash, a purse, sweets and documents. He reported the matter to the Chief Ticket Inspector, Bengaluru Division of South Western Railway, Aravin Kumar.
The railway official was able to trace the contact details of the passenger based on the PNR number in the chart. With the help of the Centre for Railway Information Systems, they were able to trace the phone number of the said passenger. Girish was contacted by the Railway authorities.
After verifying documents and establishing his identity all his belongings were returned to him in the presence of higher officials of the Railways. Upon receiving his bag in a safe and sound condition, Girish decided to revoke his e-complaint registered with the Karnataka State Police and the matter was closed.
