City's theme park to shut doors to men on women' day

For women using the BMTC Volvo buses to travel to the park premises, a discount of 15 per cent will be provided. Besides, if they also produce the BMTC Volvo ticket at the park ticketing counters, they will be given an extra 5 per cent off on the park tickets

Bengaluru: The city's theme parkWonderla - has decided to open its gates to only women visitors on March 8 to mark International Women's Day here. The park's managing director Arun K said that the staff would work towards making it an 'unforgettable day' for the women on their special day at Wonderla.

The theme park authorities have invited women in the city to visit the park for a fun outing along with some special offers. As part of the initiative, entry to the park will be restricted to women only. Males above the age of 10 will not be allowed to enter. The tickets booked by men for March 8 will be cancelled.

On the other hand, the company will also provide a free ticket for every ticket purchased online. For women using the BMTC Volvo buses to travel to the park premises, a discount of 15 per cent will be provided. BMTC Divisional controller B C Nagraj has said the corporation has collaborated with the theme park on several occasions earlier and will continue to do so for the benefit of the public.
