Bengaluru: An Etihad flight bound for Abu Dhabi made an emergency landing at Kempagowda International Airport in Bengaluru late on Sunday after the crew found a pressure drop in the aircraft’s cabin.

The Boeing EY 237 was carrying 200 passengers when the pilot decided to land at Bengaluru airport around 10 pm on April 2. The pilots alerted the Air Traffic Control tower in KIA and the flight returned.

Technical snag; four hours delay

The Boeing aircraft circled above Nandi Hills before making a safe landing at the airport. Flight engineers inspected the Boeing on the tarmac and cleared the technical snag before it took off to Abu Dhabi and landed early morning on Monday.

Clearing the snag took four hours, which left the passengers an exasperated lot. All passengers and crew members on board were reported to be safe
