Bengaluru: Students in Karnataka are frustrated that the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) UG and KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) are being held on the same date. The students who have already applied for both central and state run universities will now have to choose one from the two exams to appear.

Some students are concerned that they will not be able to perform their best in both exams if they take them on the same day. Others are worried that they will not be able to get into their desired university if they do not take both the exams. The Karnataka government has said that it is working with the National Testing Agency (NTA) to see if the dates of the two exams can be changed.

However, there has been no action taken yet in this regard. In the meantime, students are left to deal with the uncertainty and stress of having to choose between two important exams. Junaid Ahmed, a candidate who had applied for both examinations, placed a request with the NTA to change his examination date for CUET.

However, there has been no response yet. He posted a tweet questioning the NTA, stating, “I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated with the way you've handled the exam dates. You've ignored the requests of thousands of students who're facing a date clash between the CUET and KCET exams. How do you expect us to prepare and perform well in both exams?” When asked about the issue, Junaid said that he was just one among thousands of other students who are forced to choose between these two important entrance examinations and that it was causing them stress, confusion, and frustration.

Several students have blamed the NTA and KEA for “playing” with the future of these students and showing “no empathy” to the students in this regard. Sunitha, who has applied for both examinations, expressing her anxiety said that her whole life will be spoiled. She also requested the NTA to shift the date of the CUET exam for students appearing for KCET, although it might be too late for the NTA to do anything.

The situation is causing a great deal of anxiety and stress among students who are applying for both the CUET and KCET exams. The NTA and KEA need to take action to address this issue and ensure that all students have a fair chance to succeed, they stressed.
