Bengaluru: A 'crime' is when a person goes out of the way of society's decided rules and regulations while becoming selfish and ignoring the damage his or her actions might cause to the other person.

It is really sad that most of the citizens have either gone through or have witnessed such incidents here. In a latest incident, the Bengaluru police arrested a gang of six people after a video of them assaulting and abducting two techies went viral.

Thanks to a citizen, identified on Twitter as Vijay Dennis, who captured the incident on his phone and alerted the South-East division police on time.

Sources from the police told News Trail that the incident took place around 12:05 am on Saturday outside a Pub in HSR Layout Police Station limits. Soon after the alert was put up by the netizen, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South-East division, CK Baba, who himself was patrolling along with his team, intercepted the car and rescued the techies, the sources added.

Madiwala ACP, Lakshmi Narayan said that the victims were identified as Nandan and Karthik, who had obtained a loan of Rs 30 lakh from the accused a year ago, to invest into a marketing scheme.

However, losing all the money in the scheme, the victims had met the accused to request more time to return their money. The enraged accused decided to abduct the duo to get their money back.

As the accused were dragging Nandan and Karthik into a car, which had a Delhi registration number on it, the netizen who was passing-by recorded the incident on his mobile phone and posted it on twitter, tagging the Bengaluru Police.

The patrolling team led by the DCP chased the car and nabbed the accused. As per sources, four of the accused were identified as Yogeshwar, Janardhan, Madhusudhan and Anand Babu.

Following the arrest, DCP CK Baba responded to Dennis's tweet and said, "A criminal case has been registered on this incident and the investigation continues."
