Muharram procession: Avoid these city roads

Bengaluru: Given the Muharram procession in Bengaluru on Saturday between 1 and 4 pm, from Johnson Market to Elgin Apartments on Hosur Lashker Road, all vehicles plying from Brigade Road towards Hosur Road via Vellara Junction (Shoole Circle) are advised to take Richmond Road via Rhenius Cross and proceed towards Nanjappa Circle.
In an advisory, the Bengaluru Traffic Police has also asked commuters to use Longford Road and take a right turn at the CMP Junction to join Hosur Road.
It said the flowing traffic diversion has been implemented to facilitate the flow of traffic: Commuters traveling from Hosur Road Audugodi Junction must take Cemetery Cross Road to Berlin Street to Longford Road and reach Nanajappa Circle further joining Richmond Road or Shanti Nagar Junction and going ahead.
For heavy vehicles coming from Hosur Road, the traffic police department has advised that they can move towards Audugodi Junction to Mico Junction to 8th Main, from where they can go through Willson Garden Main Road to reach Siddaiah Road.
