Cops to send decoys in DD checks

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: In order to curb corruption while booking Drunk & Drive cases, the city police commissioner has made it compulsory for the police personnel to wear the body camera.

Additionally, the top cop has also decided to send decoys to the spots to check the behavior of the officers with the public.

The decision was taken after several complaints were brought to the notice of the higher police officials regarding the personnel allegedly pocketing money collected from offenders during the Drunk & Drive (DD) checks in the city.

The Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) also took the matter seriously and made the inspectors to book DD cases from now on.

However the inspectors are to inform the seniors about the date and place where they have decided to conduct the DD drive in Bengaluru
