Police constable found dead under mysterious circumstances

Bengaluru: Mystery continues behind the death of a head constable attached to the Vijayanagar traffic police station in the city.
Head constable Naveen Kumar was found dead at his home in Attiguppe on Sunday morning. According to sources, his relatives were suspicious when he did not answer their phone calls on Saturday.
Immediately the Chandra Layout Police were alerted and the body was taken to Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru.
It was suspected that the constable must have committed suicide, allegedly over a family dispute. His second marriage was scheduled for November 26, sources said.
Later in the day, the postmortem report revealed the cause of his death was due to consumption of poison. Following inspection, it was revealed that he had consumed alcohol and a soft drink laced with some kind of poison.
A case has been filed at Chandra Layout Police Station and efforts are on to ascertain the exact cause of his death.
