Deadline to update ration card details extended

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The Karnataka government on Monday extended the deadline for the citizens to update their personal information on their ration cards.

Acting on the request of the public for the additional time to update the details, the state extended it, said Gyanendra Kumar Gangwar, the Additional Director of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs department. Earlier, the deadline was on August 21.

However, Gangwar also explained that the deadline was extended in light of the server problem and to ensure that citizens have ample opportunity to make the necessary updates.
