Woman ropes in friends to rob own scooter, gold to teach husband a lesson; gets caught

Bengaluru, NT Bureua: In a bizarre incident, a woman roped her friends to ‘rob’ her scooter and gold to teach her husband a lesson, but got caught during a police investigation.

The woman filed a complaint at the Malleswaram Police Station, in which she claimed that her scooter and gold were stolen from her residence on Malleswaram 12th Cross.

Acting on the complaint, the police, as part of the investigation, checked CCTV footage in the area and arrested her friends Dhananjaya and Rakesh, from whom they recovered 109 grams of gold and the scooter.

However, Dhananjaya revealed to the police that it was a planned operation, and that he took along his friend Rakesh who stole the scooter.

The woman had kept her gold inside the boot of the scooter. She later confessed that she was indeed the mastermind behind the orchestrated theft and said she did it to teach her husband a lesson.
