Bar staff attacked for refusing to serve liquor

Bengaluru: A group of drunkards alle gedly attacked a bar employee in the city with sharp weapons for refusing to serve liquor after the bar was closed.

The incident took place around 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday when the victim, Swagath Gowda, an employee at MBR Bar was closing down the shop.

A complaint was filed at Banashankari Police Station regarding the attack after which the cops recorded the statements of the victim who is currently being treated for his injuries at a private hospital. In his complaint, Gowda stated that a group of drunkards barged into the shop.

Despite him trying to reason with them that the bar had been closed, the miscreants demanded him to serve liquor.

However when he refused, one of them stabbed him with a sharp weapon following which all of them fled from the spot. The police are now checking the CCTV footage to identify the miscreants and nab them.
