Bengaluru: A city resident has filed a police complaint against a Telangana-based seller company alleging unresolved issues with a faulty battery of an e-scooter here.

It is alleged that an electric scooter showroom in Jayanagar has been providing dealerships to other private companies to sell their e-scooters.

According to the complaint, so far in the last three years, over 900 escooters have been sold by the dealership out of which about 289 vehicles had battery related issues.

It is also said that seven to eight vehicles caught fire due to faulty batteries either while driving or being charged.

A complaint has been filed at Mico Layout Police Station by a vehicle owner who has alleged that the dealership has failed to resolve the battery issues in the vehicle.
