BU students demand reinvestigation into Soujanya rape & murder case

Bengaluru: Post-graduate students and research scholars from Bangalore University staged a protest demanding a reinvestigation into the Soujanya rape and murder case at Dr BR Ambedkar Park in the city on Friday.

Joining the protest were Soujanya's parents, Kusumavathi and Chandrappa, who have steadfastly sought justice for the brutal rape and murder of their 17-yearold daughter, Soujanya, a case that has remained unsolved for eleven long years.

The students rallied to support Soujanya's grieving parents and called upon the state government to reopen the investigation into the case. During the demonstration, they held a poignant portrait of Soujanya.
