Patriotism in a Single Take

Bengaluru: What sets "Young Man," a new film by an aspiring team, is the fact that it was shot entirely in a single take, an accomplishment that was recently unveiled.

Director Mutturaj, who had previously served as an assistant director in the industry, expressed his excitement about his directorial debut.

He stated, "I embarked on this journey with a burning desire to introduce uniqueness to mainstream cinema. 'Young Man' is a testament to that ambition, as the entire film unfolds in a single uninterrupted shot."

This audacious endeavor was inspired by the pioneering work of filmmakers like S. Narayan, who had previously dabbled in single-take projects.

Mutturaj meticulously prepared for this challenge over a span of approximately three months. Notably, a significant portion of the cast comprises newcomers, all of whom received specialized training before the commencement of shooting.

The film's narrative revolves around themes of patriotism, offering unexpected twists and climaxes that keep audiences engaged. Mutturaj took a moment to express his gratitude to his parents and his dedicated team for their unwavering support, stating that their guidance had transformed his dream into reality.

Cinematographer Vinayakamurthy emphasized that achieving this feat wouldn't have been possible without the exceptional contributions of the talented artists who brought the project to life.

He extended his gratitude to them for their invaluable cooperation. To facilitate the single-take endeavor, special cameras were deployed at a location near Kanakapura, a decision that greatly contributed to the film's success.

The cast of "Young Man" includes Sunil Gowda, Nayan Puttaswamy, Harish Acharya, Anand Kengeri, Rashika Puttaswamy, Tanuja, and Shruti Gowda, among others.

The team now plans to send the film for certification and subsequently submit it to various film festivals, as announced by Creative Head Muruli SV.
