Ramanagara: The district police arrested two people for allegedly forcing a girl into a marriage.

One of the arrested was the victim's boyfriend, the police told News Trail on Wednesday. The police identified the accused persons as Ravi and Manju, 21. The police said that Manju was in a relationship with the victim for the past several months.

However Ravi wanted to marry the victim and pressurised Manju to convince her. Manju allegedly agreed to let Ravi marry his girlfriend and called her to meet him near a temple in Ramanagara on September 19.

The girl who reportedly had her exam that day skipped it to meet Manju. But it was Ravi who was waiting for the girl when she reached the place suggested by Manju.

When she refused to go with Ravi, her boyfriend allegedly threatened to leak their private photos. Ravi forcefully married the girl and took her to Chamarajanagar.

However it was learnt that Ravi was already married to another girl.
