Bengaluru: The Upparpet police in the city on Sunday filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the murder accused Puneet Kerehalli on charges of attempted suicide here.

Kerehalli and four of his associates are accused in the murder of Sathanurbased cattle trader Idrees Pasha, an act that the police said took place on 31 March this year.

They were even arrested in connection with the case but later Kerehalli was released after being granted conditional bail.

The Central Crime Branch in Bengaluru had earlier registered a case under Goonda Act against Kerehalli for his repeated involvement in criminal activities from 2013 to 2023.

Currently the 33-year old self-claimed cow vigilante has been shifted to Victoria Hospital by the jurisdictional police.
