'Fit Boss' promises a healthy makeover

Bengaluru: After a hiatus of seven years, Ayush TV, known for its dedication to promoting a healthy lifestyle, is once again setting the stage for a unique reality show, this time in collaboration with the popular Sirikannada channel and the renowned Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Nature Cure Center (Kshemavan).
The show, titled "Fit Boss," marks the world's first Kannada-language reality show dedicated to health.
"The 'Fit Boss' reality show is a remarkable step in our journey towards raising awareness about health. For the first time, we are introducing a show designed for individuals who need to lose substantial weight," Arunachalam of Ayush TV stated. Sanjay Shinde, Director of Sirikannada Channel, shared the details of the upcoming show.
"This reality show, which will not only transform the lives of the participants but also entertain and educate our viewers.” 'Fit Boss' will be broadcast on Ayush TV from 7 PM to 8 PM and on Sirikannada Channel from 8 PM to 9 PM, starting from October 16, Monday to Friday.
The "Fit Boss" reality show brings together a diverse group of around 2,000 participants, primarily those with a weight of over 100 kilograms. Over the course of 21 days, contestants will undergo a scientifically devised regimen to shed excess weight while participating in various physical and mental challenges.
The grand finale will see prominent personalities, including Golden Star Ganesh, Amulya, Rupika, and director Aryann Sharma, cheering on the participants. The winners of the competition will be rewarded with a cash prize of 5 lakhs.
In his address, Prashanth Sambargi, who is hosting the show, expressed his excitement about the show and encouraged everyone to tune in to witness the transformation of the participants.
"The 'Fit Boss' reality show's start and final days when I was a judge are cherished memories. I believe everyone should watch shows like this," he said.
The Biggest Loser, an American show with this concept was tried to be replicated in India more than a decade ago. But the Hindi show had only one season. The Kannada version is now all set to revive the concept.
