BMTC conductor suspended amid allegations of misconduct

Bengaluru: A recently circulated video on social media sparked apprehension regarding alleged misconduct by a bus conductor from the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) in the city.
The video depicted the conductor issuing superfluous tickets to increase incentives.
As the video caught attention of the officials, the BMTC Central office on Monday, promptly responded by initiating a comprehensive investigation into the matter. Following a investigation, Prakash Arjuna Kotyala, a driver /conductor working, was suspended from service.
The BMTC later in the day issued directives and circulars to ensure the proper management for the implementation of the Shakti Scheme, including training for the driving staff.
The Managing Director has also directed depot managers and staff to ensure the smooth functioning of the Shakthi Yojana and warned of disciplinary actions in case of non-compliance.
