Bengaluru: As the extended Dussehra holidays came to an end, citizens streamed back into the city early morning, forming long lines at metro stations by 5:30 a.m.

The Bangalore Metro updates shared visuals on social media, accompanied by a "Welcome back to Bengaluru!" message.

They also noted the substantial turnout, particularly in vital stations like Nagasandra, Yeshwantpur, Majestic, and Mysore Road.

This time was notably special as Navratri and Dussehra coincided with the weekend, a majority of individuals had planned their holidays in advance, journeying to their hometown to partake in the festivities and also en route for a lengthy outing.

Some netizens reacted on social media expressing shock at the queue photos, others suggested that if metro operation started before its usual timings the crowd would have been managed.
