Ektara wins Sharad Utsav Samman on debut

Bengaluru: Socio-cultural organisation Ektara which mde its debut Durga puja in Kengeri has bagged the Sharad Utsav Samman award for the best theme puja , under the large durga puja category.

The award was presented to managing trustee Anjur Sarkar by Bengali actress and TMC MLA Deboshree Roy and is constituted by Eventex. It is an institution where the hard work created and completed by various Puja commitees.in putting up pandals etc are honoured.

The award came into force 8 years back and is judged by a panel of jury who receive submissions and also visit puja venues. The award is given under various categories like mega budget, large budget, mid budget, mini budget and micro budget Pujas.

The prize categories include best theme, best cultural participation, best idol ,best crowd management, best safety measures, best dhunuchi naach, best Pujo publicity, and best Pujo ritual management. Recently, Ektara had teamed up with News Trail as its media partner.
