Customs seize gold worth Rs 5 lakh concealed in passport covers

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The Customs officials at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) h ave apprehended three passengers who were smuggling 86 gms of gold worth over Rs 5 lakh hidden in their passport covers.

The officials said that the passengers had arrived from Kuala Lumpur and were detained during checks.

The total value of the gold is estimated to be Rs 5,27,008 and the Customs officials have taken up a case against the passengers.
