ADGP impersonated on a fake Facebook account

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) of the Fire and Emergency Services Department has filed a complaint with the city cyber police after he found six fake accounts on Facebook created in his name to extort money.

ADGP Harishekharan P said that he discovered the fake Facebook profile under his name and image operated by someone. He later found out that this deceptive account was utilized to send messages to acquaintances, aiming to extort money.

The cyber police officials stated that an investigation is underway to confirm the identity of the cyber fraudsters and nab them.
