Bengaluru: In a simple ceremony at the Anegudde Sri Vinayaka Devalaya in Kundapura, the teaser for "Kantara - Chapter 1," produced by Hombale Films, was unveiled along with a puja.

Following the global success and acclaim of their previous release "KGF Chapter 2" and “Kantara” last year, Hombale Films is back with another ambitious project, and the first look has already mesmerized viewers.

The teaser introduces Rishab Shetty's character and attire, setting the stage for what promises to be an intriguing tale. The initial glimpses of the first part indicate the creation of a fresh narrative, and Rishab Shetty's portrayal has sparked new curiosity among the audience.

“Kantara Chapter 1” serves as a prequel to last year’s “Kantara”. The new film’s first glimpse says that it is set “During the reign of Kadambas” revealing that it is a period film set somewhere in the middle of the first millennium.

The success of the first part and the lingering anticipation in the minds of viewers are evident in the teaser, which also brings back the soul-stirring music that played a significant role in the previous film.

A unique aspect of the teaser is its release in seven languages, each carrying its own musical resonance.

The success of "Kanatar" and the film's ability to captivate audiences with its portrayal of the relationship between man and nature, enriched with folklore, has contributed to the film's universal appeal.

The commitment of Hombale Films to craft each story uniquely is evident in "Kantara - Chapter 1," and the trailer has already paved the way for the creation of a new mythological saga.

Hombale Films, known for their previous successes, including the globally acclaimed "KGF" series, has already collected Rs 1,600 crores with their releases last year, "KGF Chapter 2" and "Kantara."

The next release from the production house, "Salaar," is already showing signs of becoming this year's blockbuster. The shooting for the film will commence in late December. More details about the star cast are expected to be revealed soon.

The auspicious event at the temple in Kundapura included the presence of producer Vijay Kiragandur's brother Manjunath, who marked the commencement of the film's production by wielding the clap board.

Rishab Shetty's daughter Radhya switched on the camera, and the film's crew participated in the puja ceremony.
