BMTC expands services to meet growing public transport demand

Bengaluru: In response to the growing demand for public transport by commuters, the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) is taking steps to enhance public transportation services.

To improve connectivity and cater to passenger traffic, BMTC has introduced new routes, increased transport frequency on existing routes, and operated services according to demand.

Two new routes were inaugurated on February 20, by the Transport and Muzrai Minister, Ramalingareddyat Sarjapura Bus Stop.

These new routes Route No. 500-HS (Sarjapur – Hebbal), Route No. 8D (Sarjapur – Kempegowda Airport), and Route No. 368 (Shivajinagar Bus Stand – Bannerghatta National Park) will witness the commencement of 20 buses and 134 trips, will provide more convince and options to the commuters.

During the inauguration ceremony, prominent figures such as B. Shivanna, MLA of Anekal Assembly Constituency, Ramachandran R., I.A.S., Managing Director, and other officials were present.

BMTC is enhancing its Vayu Vajra services, offering a total of 988 round trips on 18 routes from various city locations to Kempegowda International Airport.

Additionally, 14 trips from Sarjapur to Doddakannelli, Bellandur Gate, Sarjapur Road Junction, Marathahalli Bridge, Hebbal to Kempegowda International Airport through Route No: KIA8D are introduced to facilitate travel from Sarjapur to the airport.
