Cafe blast suspect purchased cap from Chennai, finds NIA

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: With no clear breakthrough yet in nabbing the accused in the Rameshwaram cafe blas in Bengaluru, investigation officers are now trying to determine the identity of the suspect using the 'limited edition' baseball cap worn by him.

A few days ago, officers from Bengaluru Central Crime Branch (CCB) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) claimed to have recovered the cap, abandoned around three kilometres from the cafe, where the suspect is said to have changed his shirt as well.

Now the cops have found that the branded cap, with number 10 inscribed on it, was sold at a branded retail store in a central Chennai mall in Januaury. It is claimed that only 400 such caps have been sold in India by the brand.
