Bengaluru: In a concerted effort to combat child exploitation and trafficking, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bengaluru conducted a series of raids across the city on Thursday.

The operations targeted notorious begging hotspots in areas like Frazer Town, Koramangala, KG Halli, and other hightraffic locations.

As a result, more than 50 children, predominantly from impoverished backgrounds, were rescued from the clutches of traffickers who had coerced them into begging.

The CCB's swift action led to the arrest of the traffickers responsible for exploiting these vulnerable children. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the apprehended individuals to ensure they face justice for their heinous crimes.

Following their rescue, the children were promptly handed over to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) to receive the necessary care and protection.
