B’luru mercury soars to 38.5 before the police degrees two days in a row

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Bengaluru received no respite from soaring temperatures as maximum temperature in the city remained 38.5 degree Celsius for the second consecutive day.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) also declared that Raichur experienced the maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius, the highest in the state.

The weather department has predicted that the temperature will likely keep climbing in the absence of rainfall.

Heat wave conditions are expected in isolated places in districts such as Bidar, Kalaburagi, Vijayapura, Yadgir, Raichur, Bagalkote, Belagavi, Gadag, Haveri, Koppal, Vijayanagara, Davanagere, Chitradurga, Tumakuru, Kolar, Mandya, Ballari and Chikkaballapura.

Moreover, warm night conditions have been forecast for parts of Bagalkote, Kalaburgi, Belagavi and Raichur districts for the next five days. IMD has also forecast light to moderate rain on May 5 over some parts of Mandya districts.

They have also predicted light rain on the same day over some parts of Kodagu, Hassan, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Ramanagara, Bengaluru Rural and Urban, Chikkaballapura and Kolar districts.
