Basava Utsava to begin from May 10

Bengaluru: Basava Utsava is set to begin from May 10 in Bengaluru. Folk artistes will perform along with a procession to mark the inauguration of the three-day festival.

Basava scholars will speak on various issues related to the ideology of the 12th century social reformer Basaveshwara and Vachana literature in different sessions on the three days.

The procession with Basava Ratha, which will carry Basava Jyothi to create awareness about the festival, is set to begin from Hosahalli Metro Station via Vijayanagar Main Road, Hampinagar Main Road, Maruthi Mandir until Vijayanagar Bus Station in Bengaluru.
