Vidyadhan scholarship for finanically weak students

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Applications for the Vidyadhan Scholarship, facilitated by the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation (SDF) under the Shibulal Family Philanthropic Initiatives (SFPI), are now open in Karnataka.

Celebrating its 10th year, the scholarship aims to empower deserving students from financially constrained backgrounds. Since 2014, it has been a beacon of support for Karnataka students in pursuit of higher education.

The scholarship is geared towards students who cleared the SSLC examination in 2024 and are currently in Class 11.

Eligible candidates should hail from families with an annual income below Rs. 2 lakhs and have scored over 90 per cent (or 75 per cent for students with disabilities) in the SSLC examination.

Selected scholars will receive Rs. 10,000 annually during their PUC studies, with the potential for increased financial assistance ranging from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 75,000 per year for undergraduate studies, contingent upon maintaining consistent academic performance.

Additionally, the program offers supplementary resources such as soft skills training, mentoring, and career counselling to foster holistic development and enhance scholars' employability. Interested applicants can apply online via the official Vidyadhan website or the SDF Vidya App by June 30.
