Youth stabbed to death over financial dispute

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: A 21-year-old youth was stabbed by his friend allegedly over a financial dispute between them in Srirampura Police Station limits on Tuesday morning. The police identified the deceased as Dayanand, a resident of Srirampura here.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the youth was running a finance scheme earlier but had started working for a small firm after suffering losses. On Monday, Dayanand went to a bar along with his friends where all of them got drunk.

On their way back home, an argument broke out between them in connection with the financial dispute between Dayanand and one of the friends, Kumar, around 1:30 am.

Following an ugly war of words, the duo engaged in a brawl during which Kumar took a knife and stabbed Dayanand multiple times in his chest, stomach and more. Dayanand died even as he was being rushed to a hospital.

The Srirampura police reached the spot and conducted an inspection. Taking up a case, the police arrested Kumar within a few hours. Kumar was a resident of Sai Baba Nagar.
