High-speed horror kills 3 on NICE Road

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: A tragic collision on NICE Road in the city on Monday afternoon resulted in the death of three men with the accident occurring around 3:30 p.m. near Channasandra bridge.

Officers from the Kengeri traffic police reported that the deceased were travelling in a Mahindra Scorpio at a reported speed of 160 kmph.

"The car's tyres brushed against the median, causing them to burst. This made the vehicle overturn and fall on the opposite lane, where it collided with a Mahindra XUV700 coming from the other direction," an officer from Kengeri traffic police told reporters.

The impact was so severe that the Scorpio was reduced to twisted metal, while the XUV700 also suffered extensive damage. The car was registered in the name of Raju, who police believe may be related to one of the victims.

The deceased were identified as Nanjegowda (45), a private transport business owner, Vinod (36), the car's driver and a gram panchayat member from Kanakapura and Kumar H V (41), a member of a dairy co-operative.
